Anne Gadomski, MD, MPH — Contributing Investigator

Anne Gadomski, MD, MPH, is a primary care pediatrician and child health services researcher with particular expertise in the health needs of rural children and families.  She is a Research Scientist at the Bassett Research Institute and an Attending Pediatrician at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.  She conducts research in pediatric primary care and has a specific interest in children’s mental health.  She is available to mentor students at all levels in these areas.  As an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Gadomski clinically precepts third year medical students in a longitudinal training program.  She has also been involved in innovative work exploring injury prevention in farm children as well as human animal interaction studies.  She and Dr. Wissow worked together on a trial of mental health communication skills training using common factors, as well as on several projects related to dissemination of collaborative care for children’s mental health services in primary care, including presentations at national pediatric meetings, webinars, and an e-learning course (Pedialink) sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Gadomski, together with Dr. Olson, Dr. Gaffney, and Dr. Solomon, is working on the Research Methods Core study of handheld computer pre-visit screening of adolescents (RMC3).
