The United Way and Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund campaign is over, and I am thrilled to announce that we have met our campaign goal! Johns Hopkins has raised $1,242,988 this year. Not only did we meet our goal, but several groups exceeded their goals for 2008 - including Medicine, Engineering, Business, Education, Professional Schools Administration, the Sheridan Libraries and JHU Museums, and JHU Retirees. I know that this year was particularly difficult for everyone. But - as usual - Johns Hopkins people have stepped up when needed and shown the kind of leadership that makes this institution so special. Your donations to the campaign will go a long way toward helping those in need - some of whom may be your neighbors, coworkers and friends. Thank you again for your commitment to helping others!
