The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields.  Students must be college juniors at the time of selection.  The Foundation also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development. If you are interested in participating, please follow the link below:

The United Negro College Fund and The Merck Company Foundation have collaborated to bring an exciting initiative to colleges and universities across the country. This program is designed to increase the number of African Americans in the pipeline of biomedical science education and research. Fifteen awards were made in 2006.

Each award consists of:

  • Scholarship up to $25,000
  • Two summer internship stipends totaling a minimum of $10,000
