The Johns Hopkins Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) seeks to cultivate an environment among students, staff , faculty and the Baltimore community-at-large; where persons of all cultural backgrounds are understood and respected , and where civility, leadership and cultural heritage are highly regarded. OMA promotes the holistic development of Hopkins students by providing direct services to underrepresented populations. This holistic development also extends to offering all Hopkins students the opportunity to develop independent critical thinking, gain cultural competencies, appreciate a culturally pluralistic learning environment and navigate social institutions.
