Swirnow Theater      
 
The Swirnow Theater is behind the Silk Road Cafe. It is used for performances by student arts groups during the academic year and professional groups during the early summer. The Theater is scheduled by the Director of Homewood Arts Program and the Tech Director of HAP, in consultation with the presidents of the student theatre groups. All non-theater student groups interested in performing in the Swirnow must submit a proposal to the Director of HAP
 
  
Art Studios & Dark Room      
 
The Art Studios & Dark Room are on the 2nd floor of the Ross Jones Building. Academic classes include Drawing, Painting, Photography, Cartooning, Art in Architecture, 3-D Design and others. For further information: Homewood Art Workshops
 
 
  
   
Digital Media Center      
 
The Digital Media Center is on the 2nd floor of the Morris Offit Building. It offers workshops for students and has high-end computers for audio and visual media projects. For more information: Digital Media Center 
  
  

Individual Music Practice Rooms      
 
The Individual Practice Rooms are on the 1st floor of the Ross Jones Building. There are ten individual practice rooms, seven with pianos, two with mirrors, and one with a drum set.  The pianos and drum set are not allowed to leave the rooms.  In order to use the practice rooms, you must obtain a permit from the Office of Student Development and Programming.
 
 

 Mattin 105      
 
Mattin 105, the small rehearsal room, is on the 1st floor of the Ross Jones Building. It is used for Music Theory classes during the day and for a cappella and small group rehearsals on evenings and weekends. It appropriate for groups up to 20 people. To reserve Mattin 105, contact the Director of HAP
 
 
  
 
Mattin SDS Room      
 
Mattin SDS Room, the large rehearsal Room, is on the 1st floor of the Ross Jones Building.  It is used during the day for Music Theory classes. On evenings and weekends it used by the JHU Bands, the Choral Society, the Gospel Choir, and some Dance groups. It is appropriate for groups of up to 100 people. The legal limit of people in the room for lectures or performances is 160.
To reserve the SDS Room, contact the Director of HAP.

Dance Studio      
 
The Dance Studio is on the 1st floor of the Morris Offit Building. It is used by the student dance and martial arts groups. To reserve the Dance Studio, contact the Director of HAP
 
 

 
Mattin 210: Office of Student Development and Programming      
 
The Office of Student Development and Programming is on the 2nd floor of the Morris Offit Building. It is open M-F 8:30 - 5. To contact the office, call 410.516.2224
 
  
 
Mattin 160, 161, 162: Meeting Rooms      
 
The three Meeting Rooms are on the 1st floor of the Morris Offit Building. They are available for groups of up to 50 people. To reserve the meeting rooms, contact the Scheduling Coordinator in the Office of Student Development and Programming at 410.516.2224
  
 
 
Silk Road Cafe / Theater Lobby      
 
Silk Road Cafe is in the Swirnow Theater Building. Hours are posted.  To reserve the Cafe for an event, contact the Director of HAP.
 

Other Arts Facilities
 

Arellano Theater      
 
The Arellano Theater is in Levering Union with approximately 125 seats. It is used for performances by student theatre groups during the academic year.
 

Shriver Hall

Shriver Hall is the main auditorium for the Homewood Campus with 1100 seats.  The Hall is used for Band concerts, multi-group a cappella concerts, and Dance performances.  To reserve Shriver Hall, contact the Scheduling Coordinator in the Office of Student Development and Programming at 410.516.2224.

Bloomberg Hall, Schafler Auditorium

Schafler Auditorium, with 320 seats, is used for performances by a capella groups.  Reservations are coordinated through the Performing Arts Council.
