MINUTES

September 17, 2007

I.  Call to Order/Attendance

a. Chapters in attendance - Alpha Delta Phi (1), Alpha Epsilon Pi (1), Beta Theta Pi (2), Lambda Phi Epsilon (2), Pi Kappa Alpha (2), Sigma Alpha Epsilon (2), Sigma Chi (1), Sigma Phi Epsilon (2) 

b.  Absent chapters - Delta Upsilon Colony, Phi Gamma Delta, Phi Kappa Psi

II.  Blood Drive, September 19 & 20 (Wed & Thurs), Glass Pavilion

a.  Get as many people to go as possible!

b.  Wear letters

c.  Rob Turning will donate $100 toward your fraternity’s dues if your fraternity donates the most.

III.  Ravens Ticket Lottery

a.  Students only

b.  Tickets sold in pairs; $25 each (so $50 for the pair) (10 tickets total)

c.  Must purchase tickets by Thursday by 5 pm in Levering 100

d.  Call 410-516-8209 for details

IV.  Update Rosters Online

a.  Due: Monday, September 24, 9 AM

b.  Can be found through the Greek life website

c.  Used to assess IFC dues and figure chapter GPAs

V.  Student Organization Registration (www.jhu.edu/involvement)

a.  Mandatory for all fraternities

b.  ASAP – cannot reserve space, vans, rooms, etc. if not registered

c.  Once completed, chapters may reserve space, rooms, vans, etc.

VI.  Fall Fest (formerly Fall Festival), September 28-30

VII.  Jones Fall Watershed Assoc. www.jonesfalls.org

a.  Need 50 people to plant 250 trees

b.  Email for details; info on Service Opportunities section of website

IX.  Discussion/Announcements/Events

a.       Greek Week idea from Panhellenic

i.      Make Greek Week 7 individual events through out semester/year

ii.      Decided for spring semester

b.      Alpha Epsilon Pi – LiveEarth Party

i.  October 6 8 PM – 2 AM

ii.  Proposal to be submitted before September 19

iii.  Has sent proposal to HSA Programming Collaboration Committee

c.   Phi-Psi will be hosting a barbeque prior to the water-polo game against Princeton

X.  Open Discussion/Chapter Reports

a.       Lambda 

i.      Has set goal to become more involved

ii.      Aiding sorority rush

iii.      Executed cleanups and assisted in bone marrow drive

iv.      The ten member request is pending for $200 to assist the purchase of uniforms for their upcoming step performance at the culture show with the IAC in late October

XI.             Rob’s Notes

a.  Sunday Night Football @ Nolan’s with regional food hosted according to teams playing.

b.  IFC/Panhel exec. will meet Thursday 12-1pm.

c.  NO REPORT (consecutive weeks: 2)
