HSA Programming Committee:
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What can the committee do to support student organizations?
A: We offer co-sponsorship, advice and funding to support collaborative programs which will help build community and/or respond to student programming needs in under addressed areas.

Q: What are the Programming Committee's expectations of cosponsoring organizations?
A: In addition to submitting proposals in time for deadlines, organizations also need to submit them early enough for us to decide: * how much, if any, funding we can offer. We also need to have groups list the HSA Programming Collaboration Committee as a cosponsor on all printed and electronic publicity materials. * how we can collaborate with groups to provide non-financial support, such as helping to publicize programs.

Q: Will funding be received/transferred if the follow up evaluation is not submitted?
A: No. All documentation (evaluation, receipts, invoices, etc) must be submitted within 30 days of the program or funding will not be awarded.

Q: Can you give organizations input about their plans and grant proposals before they're submitted?
A: Yes, we're happy to do that. You can meet, call or e-mail Adam Richard, or any of the committee members for information about your plans and the proposal review process.

Q: When our group lists the committee as an event sponsor, can we list it as HSA?
A: Please don't. HSA, or Homewood Student Affairs is the student affairs division. The Office of the Dean of HSA heads that division. The programming committee is a group working as part of the division, so please list us as HSA Programming Collaboration Committee.

Q: When our group lists the committee as an event sponsor, can we list it as the Programming Committee?
A: Please don't. We're one of a number of programming committees on campus, so please list us as the HSA Programming Collaboration Committee

Q: May we email our proposal to the committee?
A: Please do! The preferred method of delivery is via e-mail to Adam Richard. Proposals are due before 11:59 PM on the stated day, and, obviously, this will be time-stamped on the e-mail you send with your proposal attached. Please attach your proposal in Microsoft Word or .pdf format.
