Annual Budgeting Information

Spring Deadline: March 31, 2012 @ 11:59 p.m.

Eligibility: All SAC- approved organizations that have existed over one year in the following categories: 1) Cultural, 2) Performing Arts, 3) Publications and Journals, 4) Religious and Spiritual, and 5) Special Interest and Hobby. Application: The application can be found HERE

Assistance: The SAC will be having office hours to assist groups with creating annual budgets. Those dates & times will be posted soon.

SAC Purpose Statement

The Student Activities Commission (SAC) serves as the funding board of the Student Government Association. The SAC supports registered student organizations by allocating funds that will result in programs and services to benefit the undergraduate community on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Who is eligible for SAC funds?
  1. Cultural organizations
  2. Performing arts organizations
  3. Publications and journals (non-academic)
  4. Religious and spiritual organizations (recognized by Office of the Chaplain)
  5. Special interest and hobby organizations
  6. NOTE- Newly approved SAC groups are eligible to apply for monthly SAC funding grants, but must wait until the next academic year to request an annual budget.
Who is ineligible for SAC funds?
  1. Academic or departmental funded organizations
  2. Advocacy or volunteerism organizations (including Center for Social Concern groups)
  3. Exclusive organizations (including honor societies, professional associations, fraternities, and sororities)
  4. Graduate student organizations
  5. Sports Clubs (these organizations receive an annual allocation from SAC)
SAC Monthly Grants

These monthly grants provide supplemental funding for 1) new initiatives, 2) unforeseen expenses, and 3) newly approved organizations

The deadlines for SAC Monthly Funding Grants are 11:59 p.m. on the following dates: September 30th, October 31st, November 30th, January 31st, February 29th, and March 31st.
