Mattin Center Monitors

The Office of Student Activities employs a student staff of approximately 12 Building Monitors. The Monitors assist the Office of Student Activities staff with day-to-day operations as well as monitor the Mattin Center after hours. Part of monitoring the Mattin Center involves assisting students with Practice Rooms. To read more about Practice Room hours/policies click here.

Mattin Center Monitor Hours

Monday-Thursday: 10:00 a.m.-Midnight
Friday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon-Midnight

Interested in applying to become a Monitor?

Monitoring positions are highly sought after and competitive. To fill out an application clickhere and send it to StudentActivities@jhu.edu.  Applications are usually reviewed a few weeks before the start of each semester. All monitors start out working daytime shifts and work up to night shifts. If you have any additional questions about working in the Mattin Center, email StudentActivities@jhu.edu or stop by Mattin 131 Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00.

Our Staff

Our Monitors are here to assist you with questions that you have about campus or activities. After hours Monitors are able to take any financial forms that student groups need to hand in except for deposit transmittal forms, assist students into Practice Rooms, and help to keep the Mattin Center secure.
