To attend a scheduled fitness class, a current “Fitness Class Pass” is required, which allows you to attend ANY group fitness class offered by the Office of Recreation during the listed session. Passes are available for purchase from the O'Connor Recreation Center Main Office, and you may sign up at any point in the term. All fees must be payable in cash or check (made out to Johns Hopkins University) SIGNUP PROCEDURES You must be a current full-time Homewood student or a paid member of the O'Connor Recreation Center to obtain a Fitness Class Pass. Your J-Card or Rec Center ID is required at sign-up.
Sign-ups must be done in person in the Office of Recreation during business hours 9am-5pm, M-F. NO REFUNDS OR REPLACEMENTS are available on Fitness Class Passes after purchase. CLASS POLICIES & PROCEDURES 1. Present your session Fitness Class Pass with J-Card/Rec Center ID at each class. 2. Please arrive on time, and preferably early. Participants will not be allowed to enter the class three minutes after the warmup has begun. 3. In very popular classes with limited enrollment, entry will be determined according to arrival five minutes before the class begins. Classes with 2 or fewer participants are subject to cancellation. 4. Athletic footwear (unless noted by instructor) and appropriate movement-oriented clothing is required. Shoes with inadequate support or that do not cover the entire foot, or jeans are not permitted. 5. Notify the instructor of any special physical conditions you have that would inhibit your participation in the class. Modify your own workout accordingly. 6. You are responsible for monitoring and adjusting your level of intensity, and for exercising at the appropriate level for your fitness condition. 7. Please, no gum in class.
