So it's the week before freshman orientation. You could spend it at home, biting your nails, biding your time, packing and repacking. But we (strongly!) recommend something else: Pre-Orientation. It's for incoming freshmen looking to delve into a new experience. We offer six outdoor experiences that run the gamut from water to land, intense to a little more laid-back...we have something for everyone, and no matter what the trip, no experience is necessary. Sure, you'll get a little dirty. But what better way to meet other freshmen before school starts? Besides, it's still summer, the weather is nice. Maybe you'll even pick up a few back country skills that will help you survive freshman year. Upperclassmen students will be your leaders. These students have strong outdoor skills, as well as outgoing personalities, and they are ready not only to lead you on your trip, but to help you ease the transition to college life. Our staff is trained in CPR, Wilderness First Responder medical course, a ten-day outdoor leadership course, and extensively in their outdoor sport.
