We hold two competitions a year. The fall top rope competition is held in November and the spring bouldering competition is held in March. There are three divisions - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Prizes will be awarded  There is a registration fee to participate in both of the competitions.

The Johns Hopkins climbing wall is open daily. Shoes are availble for rent for $1, and harnesses, ATCs and carabiners are free. We require that climbers fill out a waiver prior to climbing at the wall, and you must be 18 years of age or have the permission of your parent/guardian to climb. You must be a member of the Recreation Center to use our facilities. We offer a belaying class for beginning climbers to learn the necessary knots and techniques of climbing.? No registration is necessary for the class, but you must show up on time.
