Welcome to JHU Experiential Education!
We want to get you outdoors and enjoy the what the Mid-Atlantic region has to offer.  From the first-timers to the seasoned outdoor veterns - we have an adventure for you.  We will teach you everything you need to know while continuing to challenge your knowledge, skills and limits.

JHU Experiential Education is a department within Athletics and Recreation, which houses Outdoor Pursuits, the Climbing Wall, Pre-Orientation, Teambuilding, and the Johns Hopkins Outdoors Club (JHOC).
Experiential Education is operated by professional staff and student employees.

Becoming an Outdoor Instructor
If you are an undergraduate Hopkins student interested in becoming an outdoor instructor for the JHU Experiential Education program (Outdoor Pursuits or The Johns Hopkins Outdoors Club) please download the application HERE.  The application includes an overview of what the job entails and the application due date.  

Mission Statement
The Mission of JHU Experiential Education is to help grow students’ passion and enjoyment for the outdoors by offering challenging and exciting experiential education courses that encourage and develop leadership, teamwork, environmental stewardship, character development, and lifelong transferable skills.
