David Verrier, Ph.D.
Dr. Verrier is the Director of the Office. He has worked in academic and pre-health advising for over 22 years. He is a former president of the Northeast Association of Health Professions Advisors (NEAAHP) and the Board of the National Association of Advisors to the Health Professions (NAAHPI). Currently he serves on the Holistic Review Committee of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). He received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Rhode Island, an M.Ed. in Student Services in Higher Education from the University of Vermont, and his Ph.D. in Higher and Adult Education from Ohio State University.
Ana Droscoski, J.D.
Ms. Droscoski is the Associate Director who does both pre-health and pre-law advising. She is a New York State licensed attorney and has practiced primarily real estate, conservation, environmental, and estate law for numerous years in the private and public sector. She obtained her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law. Her background in law makes her a versatile and experienced advisor for students pursuing law school. She also has considerable experience advising pre-health students and her specialty area is dental school advising.
Ellen Snydman, M.S.
Ms. Snydman is an Assistant Director who works with students interested in attending medical school and other health professions schools. She received her M.S. in Health Science and has experience in both academic affairs and student affairs. She has worked in higher education for more than 18 years, most recently at Goucher College. Ms. Snydman spends a considerable amount of her advising time with freshmen and sophomores and is a great resource for students transitioning to Johns Hopkins.
Katie Cruit, M.S.
Ms. Cruit is an Assistant Director who works with students interested in attending medical school and other health professions schools. She received her M.S. in Organizational Counseling from Johns Hopkins and is certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator. Ms. Cruit has worked at Johns Hopkins since 2004, most recently as the Student and Career Development Administrator at the School of Nursing since 2006.
Angie Decker, Office Manager and Administrative Supervisor
Ms. Decker is responsible for overseeing financial and operational aspects of the Office including the work and supervision of the support staff, managing all fiscal operations, and assisting the planning and budget planning for all programs and events.
