Students in the current class hail from all regions of the country and represent a variety of colleges and universities. Among our students there are 25 different undergraduate majors, the most popular being psychology, international studies/relations, history, math, political science, and Spanish. Three students have graduate degrees in African Studies, social work, and psychology. The backgrounds and previous careers of our students vary widely, from a medical social worker, a cardiac device engineer, management consultants, bankers, former Peace Corps volunteers, teachers, and a Fulbright scholar, in addition to representatives from the fields of non-profit humanitarian work and health policy. Many of our students have had international experiences in various countries such as Ghana, Tanzania, Cambodia, Ecuador, South Africa, Zambia, Spain, Chile, India, Brazil, Cuba, China, and the continent of Antarctica. We are privileged to have these talented students as members of the Johns Hopkins Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program. |
