“I chose the Hopkins program because it not only provides students with strong academic preparation for medical school and comprehensive advising throughout the medical school application process—it also offers the strongest clinical opportunities of all the post-bac programs across the country. The requirement that students participate in the medical tutorial program appealed to me, as demonstrating that the post-bac program understood the importance of ensuring that each student obtains significant and meaningful clinical experience while in the program.
It was important to me that I attend a post-bac program associated with an undergraduate institution that excels at premedical education. I also considered the size of the program; I knew that a smaller program would be able to provide more personalized attention to its students. Perhaps the best aspect of my experience has been the support I have received from the post-bac program office. It makes a huge difference to have the kind of personalized support that the post-bac program provides to its students both during their time in the post-bac program and also throughout the admissions process. Each student receives personalized attention from the post-bac office, which is truly dedicated to guiding each student toward future success.”
