Successful Black Marriages

Faculty: Katrina Bell McDonald, JHU Department of Sociology

Description: “Successful Black Marriages” is a pilot project to do in-depth interviews with a sub-sample of African-American couples, married at least five years, in an existing longitudinal Baltimore cohort study of long-term effects of schooling.  Results will be used to write a proposal for NIH or private foundation funding to study the determinants of African American marriages that are successful.
