Faculty: Vladimir Romo-Canudas Description: Infant mortality levels can be compared over time, or over populations defined in terms of sex, race, nationality, education, social class, etc. An alternative comparison is to observe at the relation between a level of infant mortality in a population and its mortality at adult ages. This project studies the imbalance in the life table which occurs when excess mortality is observed in infancy that does not correspond to the level of adult mortality of that life table.
