The Program in Expository Writing at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer. Senior Lecturers work with the Director to hire, train, and mentor teaching fellows and lecturers; develop courses and curricular materials; help design Program workshops and meetings; review syllabi and visit classes. The teaching responsibility is three sections per year, and the contract is for three years, renewable. The salary for the 2008-2009 academic year is $50,000. The successful candidate will have at least ten years’ experience and a demonstrated excellence in the teaching of college writing, as well as deep experience in teaching topic-based writing courses organized around sequenced assignments. The Ph.D. and experience in Writing in the Disciplines are preferred.
