Internship and Fellowship Opportunities in and around Baltimore:

General listing of local internship opportunities (current as of fall 2007).

Nan Pinkard-Aurelia Bolton Internship, Homewood Museum, summer 2008.  Position is currently filled.  Look for further opportunities in the spring of 2009.

Evergreen Museum and Library Student Curator Internship, summer or fall 2008.  Position is currently filled.  Look for further opportunities in the spring of 2009.


Other Internship and Fellowship Opportunities:

Hirschorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Interpretative Guide Internship Program.  Application deadlines: for fall, September 5, 2008; for spring, November 5, 2008; for summer, TBA.

Internship at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, connected with the exhibition Painted Metaphors: Pottery and Politics of the Ancient Maya, with exhibition curator Dr. Elin Danien (read more about this traveling exhibition here).  Summer/fall terms available, with flexible schedule.  Unpaid, but with possibilty for academic credit through Johns Hopkins.

Fellowship Opportunity for Hopkins Students:

Hall Fellowship at the Walters Art Museum.  2008-2009 deadlines to be announced.

The Second Decade Society Summer Internship Program.  Offers financial support for unpaid internships or internships at non-profits.  Applications are generally due in February for the subsequent summer.
