Admission to the MSSI Program

This program is open to outstanding candidates who hold a Bachelors degree with sufficient technical exposure to information technology as preparation for the core technology courses. We are unable to mail applications. Those interested in applying to the MSSI Program may do so through our ON-LINE APPLICATION. There is an application fee of $25.00!

Our application may be accessed directly here. Make sure you then select "Information Security Institute" as your choice in the drop down box for the Whiting School of Engineering.

Please note:

Applications for Fall 2009 for Domestic will not be accepted after July 15, 2009.

Applications for Fall 2009 for International Students will no longer be accepted for the Fall, 2009 semester.

Application Deadlines:

Domestic Students:

Fall 2009       Extended application deadline August 15, 2009.

Spring 2010   Application deadline December 15, 2009.

Fall 2010       May 15, 2010.

International Students:

Spring 2010   Application deadline November 1, 2009.

Fall 2010       Application deadline March 1, 2010.

We will make no exceptions to these deadlines.
We encourage all prospective students to apply as early as possible. Any scholarships awarded to domestic students will be awarded on a first received first qualified basis.

Supporting documents must be mailed directly to the Institute and shall arrive prior to the application deadline.

Please be sure to include your individual GRE (all students) and TOEFL (International Students) scores. You may send photocopies. The preferred scores are as follows:

GRE General Test - Verbal: 600, Quantitative: 600, Analytical: 650
(The Subject Test is not required).
TOEFL Test: 550 (For International applicants only).

These scores serve as general guidelines for admission. The Admissions Committee, in making its final decision, will consider the combination of professional knowledge, academic excellence, letters of recommendation, and the Statement of Purpose, as well as, GRE and TOEFL scores of the applicant.
