Established in 1899, the Johns Hopkins Club offers the charm, elegance and traditions of an era long passed.
One of the steadfast traditions practiced today and as far in the past as anyone can recall, is sorbet.
Our sorbet story spans four generations. Legend tells of a request in the will of Mr. Theodore Marburg, who funded construction of the Club’s current home. It is rumored that Mr. Marburg’s will established a sorbet intermezzo be served at dinner.
Truth or myth, throughout the decades, we continue this Grand Tradition.
