The Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs (GCPA) works to build and strengthen Johns Hopkins' relationships with a wide variety of audiences whose interest and support is vital to Johns Hopkins. We foster effective communications between Johns Hopkins and prospective and current students; faculty and staff; alumni and friends; and broader public audiences locally, nationally and internationally. We represent Johns Hopkins at City Hall, the State House, and in Washington, D.C. We publish the Gazette and Johns Hopkins Magazine, and assist in publication of a number of divisional alumni magazines. We design admissions material and Web sites, print stationery, provide communications counsel, and organize community outreach activities. The office is headed by Linda Robertson, who is vice president for government, community and public affairs for Johns Hopkins University and vice president for government affairs and community relations at Johns Hopkins Medicine. GCPA comprises government and community relations staff serving both the university and Johns Hopkins Medicine, and the communications staff in the university's central administration.
