The 2015 Commencement ceremony will take place on Homewood Field on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
Procession begins at 8:40 a.m.

Specific Information for Undergrads and Families

Remember to take care of this check-list before Commencement:

  • Apply to Graduate:
  • Donate to the Senior Class Gift Campaign:
  • Order your Cap and Gown - Regalia can be ordered through the Johns Hopkins Barnes and Noble at St. Paul and 33rd Streets. You may contact them at 410.662.5850. They will be holding a Graduation Fair April 9-11, 11 AM - 6 PM. You will be able to purchase/order your Cap & Gown, Personalized Announcements, Personalized Steins, and Diploma Frames. If you are unable to attend this Graduation Fair, you can order your Cap & Gown and Personalized Announcements online at Bachelor and Master caps and gowns will be shipped to your home for a $15.95 S&H fee. The deadline to order your Cap & Gown online is April 11. Starting April 13th a $20 late fee will be charged to the Cap & Gown Fee.
  • Honor your student’s achievement and recognize a special Hopkins person in your student’s life by participating in the Senior Parent Challenge.
  • Have your Senior Portrait taken - Call 800-348-4360 or see for more information.
  • Prepare Graduation Announcements: Campus Book Center: 410-662-5850
  • Pick out Diploma Frames (14"x17"): or

  • Order your Yearbook: Can be purchased online ( The yearbook is $75.00 and payment must be received by May 15, 2015. The address used to purchase the yearbook online will be the "ship to" address for the yearbook. The yearbook will be mailed in late 2015. On the website, go to "Yearbooks" on the titlebar, then under "Students & Parents", and then click on "Buy Your Yearbook". Then, clicking on "Yearbook Products", search for "Johns Hopkins University" and then proceed to purchase the book. Yearbook ads can also be purchased by clicking "yearbook recognition ads" instead of clicking "yearbook products" on the same page.   • Sign up for Senior Week activities! Pricing will be available the week of April 7. In the mean time, check out the schedule below!


The following will be available at the Commencement ceremony:

  • Flowers and Graduation T-shirts with all the graduates' names on the back will be available for purchase. Or you can order your flowers early here
  • Commencement Photos:
    - A photographer from GradImages® will be at your ceremony to take a candid photograph of you.
    - You will receive a free passport-sized digital proof of this photo on an order card within 5-7 days following the ceremony.
    - After the ceremony you may order online at or call 800-261-2576.
    - Since photographs will be available, family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats..
