The 2012 Commencement ceremony will take place on Homewood Field on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
Procession begins at 8:40 a.m.

Specific Information for Undergrads

With graduation just around the corner, remember to take care of this check-list before Commencement:

  • Donate to the Senior Class Gift Campaign - http://ihearthopkins.com
  • Order your cap and gown:  If you missed the April 13th deadline, go to Barnes and Noble Johns Hopkins on St. Paul Street -  extras will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Have your Senior Portrait taken - The next portrait sessions will be held April 25-27, from 9am-5pm in the Rec Center.  Visit www.legacyjohnshopkins.info to schedule your appointment today and get more information here.
  • Prepare Graduation Announcements: Campus Book Center: 410-662-5850
  • Pick out Diploma Frames (14"x17"): www.framingsuccess.com
  • Order your Commencement DVD: A professionally produced and packaged DVD of the complete commencement ceremony including keynotes and speeches is available to order now.  The DVD can also be personalized with the name and picture of the graduate.   • Be part of the JHU Ring Tradition: Purchase your ring here by March 16 to participate in the Ring Ceremony on May 4, at 5:30 p.m. in the Hodson Hall Auditorium.

The following will be available at the Commencement ceremony:

  • Flowers and Graduation T-shirts with all the graduates' names on the back will be available for purchase.
  • Commencement Photos:
    • A photographer from GradImages® will be at your ceremony to take a candid photograph of you at your special moment of recognition.  
    • You will receive a free passport-sized digital proof of this photo on an order card within 5-7 days following the ceremony.
    • After the ceremony you may order online at http://www.gradimages.com or call 800-261-2576.
    • Since photographs will be available, family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats, relax and enjoy the ceremony.
