Homewood Museum hosts "Textiles Unraveled" Speaker Series
Textiles Unraveled: Fabrics in Historic Interiors

Wednesday evenings Nov. 4, 11, and 18, 6-8 p.m.
Homewood Museum

In celebration of the installation of new window treatments and bed hangings in Homewood Museum’s best guest chamber, the museum has organized a trio of talks by textile experts who will offer an insider’s look at the history and importance of fabrics in early American interiors.

Talks will take place in the reception hall, followed by a question-and-answer session and a reception in the wine cellar.

PROGRAM:

Nov. 4: "Domestic Violence: Threats to the Survival of Historic Home Furnishing Textiles," by Anita Jones & Louise Wheatley

Nov. 11: "Fashion & Fabrication: Furnishing Textiles in the Early 19th Century," by Linda Eaton

Nov. 18: "Sources and Samples: Inspiration for Textiles and Treatments in Historic Interiors," by Clarissa Barnes deMuzio and Catherine Rogers Arthur
