Digital Initiatives

The Vice Provost for Digital Initiatives is to guide the university’s initiatives in the area of digital education through the work with others academic leaders, faculty, students, and other stakeholders within the university.  The inaugural Vice Provost for digital education, Dr. Pam Jeffries, serves in her role by:   

  • providing expertise, advice and recommendations on university-wide academic, policy and operational issues related to online education and the use of digital technologies to improve education outcomes;
  • sharing ideas and best practices on the use of these technologies inside and outside the classroom;
  • identifying obstacles to the use of digital technologies in education and solutions for addressing them;
  • increasing engagement of faculty across the university on the future of the use of digital technologies to improve education at Hopkins
  • providing guidance to the university on technologies and partnerships that can enhance our deployment of digital technologies inside and outside the classroom
