1.  Faculty, then to the

3.  Dean’s Office, then to the

4.  School’s Academic Council, then to the

5.  Provost, then to the

6.  Council of Deans, for each of the following

  • New full-time and part-time degree programs
  • New areas of concentration and majors
  • Substantive changes to existing degrees
  • Substantive changes to existing concentrations and majors

  • Certificate programs within existing degree

    Then, outside of Johns Hopkins University, substantive academic program change notifications and proposals flow to the

7. Maryland Independent College and University Association – for

  • New full-time and part-time degree program

8.  Maryland Higher Education Commission – for

  • New full-time and part-time degree programs
  • New areas of concentration and majors
  • Substantive changes to existing degrees
