Lois Chiang was appointed Senior Advisor to the President, effective March 1, 2009. In this capacity, Ms. Chiang advises the president on policy issues and strategic initiatives and works as a partner and complement to Jerry Schnydman, Secretary of the Board of Trustees and Executive Assistant to the President. Ms. Chiang has most recently worked with president Ron Daniels at the University of Pennsylvania, where she oversaw the development and implementation of strategic goals for the provost as well as the day-to-day management of the provost’s office. She was formerly assistant dean of students at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, overseeing various aspects of the J.D. program, and, prior to this, she practiced corporate law at the Toronto law firm, Stikeman Elliott LLP.
