Patricia S. “Pattie” Bright
Assistant Secretary of the Board of Trustees

Ms. Bright is an Assistant Secretary of the Board of Trustees.  In this role, she drafts and finalizes agendas for Board and Executive Committee meetings, as well as the talking points for the Board Chair.  She prepares the full schedule of Trustee meetings each fiscal year, contingent on the President's availability and in consultation with the Provost, Senior Vice President, Vice Presidents and committee secretaries, to create the annual Master Calendar of meetings and other events for the Board.  In addition, Ms. Bright coordinates catering for meetings and plans and oversees dinners and other special events for the Trustees.  She is responsible for maintaining the permanent records of the Trustees, including indexing minutes and depositing records in the University Archives.  She also has general oversight of the Trustees’ Office operating budget.    She drafts and sends communications to the Trustees, uploads information onto the Trustees Web site and generally supports the Board and its Secretary.

Patricia Bright has been in her present position since 1998 and has worked in the Trustees Office since 1990.  She previously served as an account coordinator with a local advertising agency, Eisner & Associates, and as a public relations specialist and photographer with the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.  She attended Antioch College.
