Joseph L. Smith has served as Director of City Affairs at the Johns Hopkins Institutions, Government, Community and Public Affairs since 2003. Joe actively represents Johns Hopkins in legislative and regulatory interactions with all levels of city government and other local governments. Before joining Johns Hopkins, Joe held several managerial positions at Verizon and its predecessor companies for more than 30 years.
