Gayle Johnson Adams is Director of Community Relations at Bayview. She leads and coordinates the Medical Center’s community outreach, legislative/lobbying and health promotion activities. Gayle first came to what was then Baltimore City Hospitals as a social work student in 1973 where she worked to develop the O’Donnell Heights Medical Center. She became the director when the Community Relations Department was formed. Gayle is a graduate of Goucher College with a B.A. in sociology, and of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, with an M.S.W. concentrating in social strategy and a post-master’s certificate in social work administration.
