The State Affairs Office works with the executive and legislative branches of the state government to advance Johns Hopkins' mission of teaching, research and patient care. We spend each year’s Legislative Session (Jan – Apr) working from our Annapolis office, but are primarily based in Baltimore during the Interim (May – Dec). Our office collaborates with all components of the Johns Hopkins Institutions in our efforts to promote Maryland’s strong support of research universities, academic medicine, and health care delivery. Faculty and staff are encouraged to contact the State Affairs Office with questions about testimony format, submission deadlines, Committee contacts and suggestions for traveling to and around the state government grounds in Annapolis.
