The Local Affairs Office represents Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medicine in legislative and regulatory interactions with all levels of local government. The Office provides support to the Johns Hopkins Institutions and Senior Leadership by developing, planning, presenting, and coordinating Hopkins’ local issues and priorities, and community/local relations programs and activities. The Office works closely with governmental agencies, planning boards, and municipal bodies to manage and promote relations between Johns Hopkins and local municipalities as a whole. Faculty and staff are encouraged to contact the Local Affairs Office with questions about testimony format, submission deadlines, Committee contacts and suggestions concerning local issues in Baltimore City or Maryland counties where Johns Hopkins conducts business.
