Inadequate Exterior Nighttime Lighting:

Public:

  • If the issue relates to a public area (e.g., street, sidewalk, park, etc.) and/or involves a streetlamp, inform the city by telephoning “311.” You will need the street address of the closest property to the location with the problem. Make sure to get a Reference Number from “311.” The more persons that call to report the problem, the better. Please also report the issue to JHU security (410-516-4600), and include the “311” Reference Number.

Private:

  • If the issue concerns a private area and/or lamp on private property, try informing the occupant of the property. If you need assistance, please contact Carrie Bennett, JHU’s Student–Community Liaison, via email or at 410-516-2359.
