Orientation Packets
Are you looking for a way to introduce new students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the Johns Hopkins community and greater Baltimore? Government, Community and Public Affairs is once again offering orientation packets to university departments. These packets help newcomers discover the diversity of Johns Hopkins and the highlights of Baltimore.
Each packet contains brochures offering a general overview of Johns Hopkins University: copies of the Johns Hopkins Magazine and The Gazette; fact sheets about Johns Hopkins; a Homewood campus map; the Homewood monthly calendar of events; a varsity sports schedule; schedules of cultural events offered by the Theatre Hopkins, the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra and the Peabody Institute; and a brochure on the university's two historic house museums, Evergreen and Homewood House.
The Baltimore highlights include the Maryland Calendar of Events and the Quick City Guide, together with brochures from some of Baltimore's finest attractions, such as the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Walters Art Gallery, the American Visionary Art Museum, the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, Port Discovery, the Baltimore Zoo, the Top of the World Trade Center, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the B&O Railroad Museum and the National Museum of Dentistry. Also included is a Baltimore street map, information on the Inner Harbor Water Taxi, harbor cruises on the Bay Lady and Lady Baltimore, and Inner Harbor boutiques and restaurant offerings of Harborplace and the Gallery.
