
Belward
The 108-acre Johns Hopkins Belward Research Campus is located 3/10 of a mile from the Montgomery County Campus at the intersection of Darnestown Road and Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The university is in the process of creating a mixed-use campus that brings together university, government, and private research on Belward.
As the campus develops, it will become a community amenity featuring a town square with restaurants and other cultural and recreational destinations. In addition, more than 40% of the campus will be preserved as open space in the form of parks, forested areas, and wetlands.

The Belward Research Campus development will follow the guidelines set forth in the reat Seneca Science Corridor Master Plan. To that end, a university representative is actively involved in the Great Seneca Science Corridor Implementation Advisory Committee as planning continues.
