  M.S. in Engineering Management

The CLE will be playing a fundamental role in the Whiting School of Engineering's new Master of Science in Engineering Management program, which begins fall 2009.

As technology continues to transform every aspect of our lives, industry is struggling to meet an ever-increasing demand for individuals who possess both the technological and management skills necessary to lead the 21st century workforce.

Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering (WSE), drawing from its vast expertise in cutting-edge engineering research and education, and its proven ability to couple these strengths with strong academic offerings in business leadership and management, is uniquely positioned to respond to industry’s needs.

Students in the Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) program select a technical concentration in areas that range from the molecular (nanotechnology) to the global (environmental policy).  Technical mastery in an emerging engineering field is coupled with coursework in a management concentration, including courses in engineering management, communications, leadership, law, and entrepreneurship, offered through WSE’s highly respected Center for Leadership Education (CLE).

All MSEM students are advised by faculty from both their area technical concentration and the Center for Leadership Education.  Working together, each advising team helps students define their professional and academic goals and interests and strategizes to create a customized academic program that meets their needs.

MSEM website.
