Transition to Advanced Mathematics encourages students' conceptual understanding of key mathematics ideas that underlie high school mathematics and sharpens their overall basic mathematical skills. Transition to Advanced Mathematics is a research-based course combining a blend of traditional and innovative teaching strategies. Just as with the foundation of a building, the casual observer may not take notice of the foundational components of geometry, such as concepts, skills, applications, and reasoning. Geometry Foundations focuses on these components creating a solid ground for student growth into post-algebra experiences. Algebra II Foundations fosters students' conceptual understanding of key mathematics ideas that underlie high school Algebra II. AF challenges students to think through and make sense of what they are doing, learn from one another, share and respect ideas, and make connections between mathematics and the world.
